What is boudoir photography? As per our beloved Wikipedia, boudoir is a "photographic style featuring intimate, sensual, romantic, and sometimes erotic images of its subjects". Technically, that's all true, but it's not the full story. Boudoir is so much more than sexy outfits, a face full of makeup and provocative positions. It's about looking at an image and seeing a piece of your soul reflected back in a way you've never experienced. It's a way to pull back the layers of our job titles, societal norms, daily expectations and baggage around how we see ourselves normally to reveal a truer version of who you are. We strip back all the layers and then stand in awe of the beauty that resides there. The unique way we each see the world. The expansiveness of our hopes, dreams and passions. The depth of joy and love when we laugh and play. For the skeptics, no, you are not the exception to the rule. This is in ALL of us. And our job is to celebrate it!

I know what you're thinking. Well, really what your inner critic is whispering to you right now.
"You won't look like the women on her website."
"You're too old for this."
"You're too fat for this."
"You've never photographed well."
"You're the funny/smart one-not the pretty one."
That's where I come in. I am an expert at seeking out your inner critic, tying them to a proverbial rocket and blasting them straight out of the studio. That voice has no place at your session. (Or really in your life...but, baby steps.) I'm there as your coach, cheerleader, and friend. I will direct your posing down to your left pinky toe while freaking out over how gorgeous and amazing you are. Many clients want to know what sets me apart from other photographers and, honestly, it's this. I think I take gorgeous photos, but do I think I'm the best photographer in the world-or even Atlanta-not at all. My special sauce is my ability to make you feel super comfortable, clearly communicate how I want you to pose and then being there to enthusiastically cheer you on as you blossom in front of my lens.
