Soul Portraiture is more than a beautiful photoshoot.
It is a curated experience designed to help women witness themselves honestly. Sometimes through celebration, sometimes through healing, often through both. Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful it can be to pause long enough to acknowledge where you’ve been, what you’ve carried, and who you are becoming.
We are not meant to erase our pasts.
We are shaped by them.
Every season of your life. The joy, the heartbreak, the growth, the confusion, it’s all contributed to the woman you are today. It’s time to celebrate her story.
Hi gorgeous, I’m Meagan!
I began my career in wedding photography and transitioned four years later to open up my very own boudoir studio. I spent over a decade shooting nothing, but boudoir. There was something so special about how vulnerable my clients were when they showed up. They wanted to feel differently about themselves. They wanted to love their bodies, embrace their stories, and see their beauty.
As my work in boudoir deepened over the years, I realized something important. While the lingerie, posing, and aesthetics can be fun, many women weren’t coming to the studio just to feel sexy. Some wanted to feel powerful. Bold. Free. Luminous. Elegant. Fluid. Strong. Soft. Fun. Whatever would connect them to a deepening version of themselves.
They were coming to meet themselves. And I was being trusted to hold that moment. However, boudoir is femininity through the male gaze. I got curious what would happen if we dropped that lens and picked up another. What if instead of fitting the male gaze, we chose the lens we wanted to see ourselves through? And, just like that, Soul Portraiture was born.
A little about me I LOVE: an uninterrupted day at the beach, Ferrer Rocher chocolates, spontaneous travel, red wine, meditative walks in nature, belly laughs, trying something new, deep conversations, cheese dip & guac, an margs for that matter, a great hug, interesting laughs, Christmas, snuggles from my cat, Meeko, my huge, hilarious family, ACOTAR (ifykyk) when I finish a great workout, super soft, over-sized blankets and season changes!
