“I Knew My Value, but I Didn’t Believe My Worth”
One of my clients recently uttered these words at her reveal. We looked slowly over each image, and as we gasped and exclaimed over her beauty, she said, “I knew my value, but I didn’t believe my worth. Thank you for showing me.”
Isn’t this the story of so many of us? We are abysmal at quantifying our worth. We’re clueless! We like to be able to quantify our value with the roles we play. I’m worthy because I’m a mom. Or because I have a career. Or we want to quantify our worth through the number in our bank account or on the scale. The size of our house or the number of our friends. Those are all beautiful things, but they have nothing to do with your worth.
I can tell you your worth. I have the number. Ready?
Immeasurable. You, my stunning friend, are immeasurably worthy exactly as you are. You are a walking miracle. Do you realize you are a big bundle of atoms? The same stuff everything else is made of. But instead of being a chair or cat or squash, you’re you. YOU! Who can read this blog. Who can experience love and heartbreak. Who can have ideas. Who can create. Not to get nerdy, but you are matter aware of itself. That. Is. WILD. Why we don’t parade around all day, every day like the tiny kings and queens we are, I’ll never know.
That’s why I do what I do. I want to reflect back in pictures the mysterious, vibrant, beautiful heart that beats from within your soul. I know, I set high standards. But here’s the thing, If I can take an image that reflects even 1% of how sacredly stunning your soul is, you will never look at yourself the same way again.
